Made with Aharn Thai Premium Pad Thai Sauce
Serves 2–3
Cooking time: 10–15 minutes
Pad Thai is Thailand’s most famous noodle dish — a perfect balance of sweet, sour and savoury flavours. With Aharn Thai Premium Pad Thai Sauce, you can recreate this authentic Thai street-food favourite at home in minutes.
Ingredients
-
180–200 g rice noodles
-
180–200 g chicken, sliced or whole prawns
-
2 eggs
-
1 cup bean sprouts
-
2 spring onions, sliced
-
2 tbsp crushed peanuts
-
1 lime, cut into wedges
-
3–4 tbsp Aharn Thai Premium Pad Thai Sauce (adjust to taste)
Method
1. Prepare the noodles
Soak the rice noodles in tap or lukewarm water for about 30 minutes until softened but still slightly firm. Drain and set aside.
2. Cook the protein
Heat a wok or frying pan over medium-high heat with a little oil. Add the chicken or prawns and stir-fry until nearly cooked.
3. Add the eggs
Push the chicken or prawns to one side of the pan and crack the eggs into the empty space. Scramble briefly.
4. Add noodles and sauce
Add the softened noodles and Aharn Thai Premium Pad Thai Sauce. Toss everything together so the noodles absorb the sauce.
5. Finish the dish
Add bean sprouts and spring onion and toss for about 30 seconds until just combined.
6. Serve
Serve immediately topped with crushed peanuts, dried chilli flakes and fresh lime wedges.
Tip from the Chef
For the best texture, always soak rice noodles in tap or lukewarm water rather than hot water. Slow soaking keeps the noodles firm and prevents them from becoming sticky when stir-fried.
